Chicago “One Light”
So I spent the last few days hanging out with Zack Arias and a bunch of professional photographers in Chicago working on the concept of “One Light” photography as explained by the Zen master himself. It was a chance to meet new friends and catch up with some really talented people. Dennis smoked us some ribs, Chris Cook made up a kick a** batch of margaritas and I was able to bring along my famous Chipotle BBQ sauce— yes, good times were held by all.
The weather forcast for Chicago was the same wet-soaked dreariness that we have been experiencing here in Massachusetts. The sky was a deep blue in the morning but then it turned to torrential downpours and even a little hail to boot. The conditions were set to thoroughly depress us when the sky decided to treat us to a spectacular show of clouds and sun near sunset. We were all pleasantly surprised and it made the day. Mer was a great sport for letting a bunch of photographers mug him all day and I want to thank Dennis and Becky for hosting us all at their studio.
Special thanks again goes to Zack for taking time out of his busy shooting schedule to fly up from Phatlanta Geee-Yaaa to hang, shoot, teach and chill.
