Jen & Thor: An Elihu Island affair

Bright sunny days means one thing: I get to bust out my infrared camera to take cool portraits with.

I was blessed last weekend with two great weddings. Armed with only ourselves, a box of cheese-its and a trunk-load of gear, Erin and I headed down to Stonington CT for the wedding of Jen and Thor at the unbelievably idyllic Island farm at Elihu Island. The private island only books four wedding a year so I was excited when I heard that Jen and Thor reserved the venue for their wedding. Having previously worked “in the trenches” with Jen, who was the maid of honor for Anna-Joy and Stephen’s wedding, I knew from the start that we were going to have a great time together. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. It was sunny, in the low 70’s and no humidity–absolute heaven! The day, overseen by the dynamic triumvirate of Lucinda Smith-Wesson and her staff at the Island Farm at Elihu Island, Sarah True and her talented catering staff at the Coastal Gourmet and last but not least, and Jen’s wedding planner, the indomitable Sarah Loomis-Crawford. Hana Floral Designers made some really amazing bouquets, center pieces and other beautiful “greenery”. Peter Lombard of American Productions DJs spun the tunes and kept people partying late into the night.

Well enough of my yakking. I bet you are wondering what the photos look like. Click on any image to view the set full-sized.

The slideshow and full edit of all the photos, when I finish up editing them, will be at www.proofs.craigmolwaystudios.com. The password will be Jen’s maiden name in all lower caps. If you sign up for a user account (no charge and more importantly, no spam) you can view the images in both color and B&W as well as save your favorites and compare images side-by-side.

I think Jen and Thor are already soaking up the rays in Hawaii. I hope you get to read this while you are there.

Congratulations once again!

Cheers!

Craig
